Welcome to Garlinge Primary School and Nursery. A Quartet School
The staff, governors, children and parents are very proud of our hardworking school which formed as a result of the successful amalgamation of Garlinge Infant School and Garlinge Junior School in September 2007. The school has served our local community since the 1930’s. We have a great deal to look back on with pride and fond memories as we enthusiastically approach the challenges ahead.
We aim to provide our children with learning opportunities that are broadly based, challenging and exciting so creating a joy and thirst for knowledge in each individual child. We celebrate diversity and respect all children regardless of ability, gender, ethnicity or religion. We aim to provide a happy, caring, supportive and positive learning community where each child can achieve success.
Our pupils are valued as unique individuals in their own right. We strive for a calm working atmosphere where children feel relaxed and are able to reach and extend their potential whilst growing in self-confidence, respecting themselves and the people and environment around them.
We are committed to work in partnership with parents in the education of their child and welcome parents to take advantage of the many informal and formal occasions to enhance home-school relationships.
Prospective parents are invited to look around the school and, where possible, meet the staff and children. The office staff will be only too pleased to arrange an appointment.
With best wishes,
Mrs Diane Springett Headteacher
