A range of extra curricular activities including recorders, football, netball, rugby, cricket, art and craft, drama, reading and board games club are organised at lunchtimes and after school. The clubs programme changes termly to provide a broad range of learning opportunities for children. Garlinge has been recognised by The National Youth Agency for its "Quality in Study Support" programme and the additional learning opportunities this offers children beyond curriculum time.
